Of course you’re interested in a safe neighborhood, an affordable home, low taxes and good schools. But what about friendly, caring neighbors and that “sense of community” that seems to be missing from most places these days?
Is that something you’re looking for too? If so, you’ll find it in the Heartland.
Think about it — a close community where you’re connected to your neighbors by more than a row of hedges. A place where potluck dinners, front porch sitting and tool lending friendliness are part of the culture. A place where old fashioned values are the rule, and not the exception.
Most folks born and raised here wouldn’t live anywhere else, and many newcomers share this point of view. In fact, many of our residents once wore the uniform or worked as Army civilians themselves. They worked at Fort Knox, fell in love with the land and its people and made the move permanent.
