The Music & Arts Center of Cultural Learning Youth Orchestra is starting its spring 2008 season and looking for talent. The group is seeking string and percussion players ages 9 to 19 to join its 30-member orchestra.

The goal of the orchestra is to provide a fun, stimulating and challenging setting in which young musicians can develop their musical skills and learn about music and orchestral literature. Students rehearse at the Elizabethtown Technical and Community College Student Center from 6 to 7:45 p.m. each Thursday. The group also schedules public performances throughout the season.

Auditions will be Jan. 28 through Feb. 29 by appointment at the Music & Arts Center of Cultural Learning, Suite 801, 790 N. Dixie Ave., Elizabethtown. The center’s hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
