With the Fort Knox transformation and its ongoing evolution, new workers and family members continuously move to the region, many with college degrees or at least some post secondary education. But whether they were born and raised in the Heartland, or moved here because the Army brought them, a strong work ethic is second nature to the people of this region.
In fact, more than 54,000 military veterans live in the counties surrounding Fort Knox, bringing the experience and intangibles of service-to-country to our workforce. In addition, folks in the region are friendly, honest and easy to work with. And the continuing need for IT, human resources, and various other white collar jobs at Fort Knox, means companies interested in expanding or relocating will find an even larger highly skilled labor pool eager to put their experience to work.
